1. Is it safe to give online?

Yes. The security setup through STRIPE (our payment processor) is certified PCI Service Provider Level 1 .  Details regarding security standards of Planning Center Online (our management software) can be found HERE.

2. Is it complicated to give online?

Not really.  Once you access our Giving Page, you can manage every aspect of your giving and you can do it with no setup, no user name, and no password to remember.  There is no additional application to download or separate password to keep.  All you need is an email address.  (So wait, no password?  Is that safe? SEE EXPLANATION HERE)

3. What types of bank accounts can I give from?

  • ACH transaction from your bank account
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover

4. Are there any fees involved with giving online?

Yes.  You may wonder if the full sum of your donation will come to us.  Right now, the processing fee will be taken from your donation.  We have a very low processing fee with our current provider. (2.3% + $.30/donation for all credit & debit card donations; $0.25 per ACH bank transfer donation).  Though there are processing fees, online gifts are a more cost efficient way for the church to process donations.

5. Are the fees the same for an ACH Debit from a bank account and Credit Card transaction?

There are less fees for an ACH debit from a bank account.

6. Can I make a one-time contribution?

Yes! The system gives you the option of either making a one-time contribution or setting up a recurring contribution.

7. If I want to set-up a recurring gift, what are my options for frequency of my gift?

For recurring gifts, you have the option of giving weekly, twice a month, every two weeks, once a month or once every two months.

8. Can I change my personal information or the amount or the frequency of my gift once I have set it up?

Yes! You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution.  Simply access your donor profile with your email address and after you have logged in, manage your recurring payments.

9. Can I review my donation history online?

Yes! You will have the option to receive email notifications as well as access your donor profile for your entire history of contributions.

10. Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?

Yes! The church will continue to send year-end contribution statements to your address on file for tax purposes.

11. When will contributions be taken from my account?

Contributions will be processed within 48 business hours of the date you requested. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

12. Can I designate my gift to a particular cause?

Yes, you can designate your contributions to various funds (e.g. General Offering, Tithe, Upcoming Mission work, etc.) and we may also add additional causes at specific times throughout the year (e.g. Easter Offering, disaster relief, etc.).

13. How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?

Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an e-mail verifying your contribution.

14. Can I give with a text message (SMS text-to-give) with our payment processor?
