 About Our Church
ABOUT US -
Cornerstone Fellowship is an English-speaking ministry of KCCNJ, a United Methodist Church that holds fellowship as one of the highest virtues and cornerstone of our lives: Friendship to God & neighbor.
Our purpose is to become close friends with Christ, Church, & Community. Alienation & lack of meaning are the two striking conditions of our age. Jesus held relationships as the highest virtue and taught us all that we need to know in order to become real friends with God and neighbor. It is through friendship that we address the loneliness and meaninglessness that underlies our existence.
So, in a time where good friends are hard to come by, we give you - CORNERSTONE FELOWSHIP.
Please join us on Sundays at 9:30am in the main sanctuary at 147 Tenafly Road, Englewood, NJ 07631

Church HistoryCornerstone Fellowship History
Cornerstone Fellowship is a United Methodist Church established in 1993. It is an English language ministry formed as an off-shoot from the Korean Community Church of New Jersey, its parent church.
In its fifteen year history, Cornerstone has expanded its ministry from younger transgeneration Korean-Americans to now include a majority of couples and families. In this growth, Cornerstone has been blessed with rising attendance in its congregation members.
Cornerstone Fellowship Today
Our congregations has approximagely 100 families led by Pastor David Sung, our full-time head pastor.
Cornerstone is blessed with an active congregation in the form of lay leadership and participation in our many programs. The lay leadership group is called the Cornerstone Ministry Council, which has 13 members and oversees the administrative process of church operations.
There are 12 bible study groups which meet weekly year round and provide rich opportunities for fellowship and furthering our understanding of the Gospel in a small group setting.
Cornerstone has a thriving Sunday school program 16 teachers for our 100+ children working in 3 separate sections (nursery, elementary, youth group). Each year the children have holiday plays, concerts, outreach trips, bake sales in addition to weekly instruction.
Our praise team is led by Pastor Doug. They contribute greatly to our Sunday worship services, helping us to praise God in both contemporary and traditional Christian songs. You'll also experience guest singers & praise bands throught the year as well.
We also have generous outreach and missions programs which allow us to serve others both globally in such countries as the Amazon (Brazil), Dominican Republic, Mongolia, and North Korea/China, as well as locally in Bergen County. There are regular food drives, meals for the homeless, school supply drives, walks for hunger, and more. As an example, our 2nd Empty Bowls for CUMAC/ECHO, an interfaith hunger awareness fundraiser raised several thousand dollars and had over 500 participants including brothers & sisters from our KM church, KCCNJ. |
